“…and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a BLESSING”
-Genesis 12:2
The Purpose of Greatness
Dr. Myles Munroe once said, “Where there is no purpose, abuse is inevitable”.
Robert Kiyosaki, author of the record best-selling Rich Dad Poor Dad, observed,
“We are poor not because we lack the know-how but because we fail to ask the ‘WHY”
God is a God of Purpose. The world we live in was founded on purpose. Nothing, I repeat, nothing was ever created by accident or coincidence.
The Purpose-Driven Greatness
There is a purpose for greatness.
There is a purpose for growth.
Without responsibility maturity is futile!
Growth without responsibility is immaturity.
All humanity quest for growth, greatness and position;
but only few are able to gather ‘enough why’ for this quest and ambition.
LISTEN: “Greatness without an accumulated WHY is an accidental discharge,
and will only end you in a garage!
There is a purpose-driven greatness!
This is the greatness that counts.
This is the greatness that has an out-stretched arm to affect humanity and transform lives.
Recently, my Brother came to me and said, “Look Bro, there is no life without making an impact”.
Yes; this is true.
The God-Kind of Greatness
Here is God concept for Greatness: He said to Abraham,
“Look son, I want to bless you, give you a very great name,
so that you will be in a position where you can bless, enrich
and impact success on other also”. (My emphasis on Genesis 12:2)
Just pause and think about that underlined word: SO THAT.
This is the intention and reason for our greatness.
Our aim for greatness is SO THAT…
…So that we can be a blessing to others.
We want to be a light, so that we can shine on others.
*Greatness is not an end to itself; but a means to an END*
TODAY…
Come on! Awake and arise.
It’s time for every one of us to start making our greatness count...
...a greatness that must become a blessing.
Let us not abuse that which has been given to us by grace.
The thirsty land cries for your water…
You are great.
Become a blessing today…and make your greatness count!
REFLECTION: A tree that does not bear fruits shall be cut down
CONFESSION: “I am great. I will be a blessing to my generation. I will put a smile to the face of my neighbor. Every day I shall make my greatness count…so help me God. AMEN!”
